An experiment in combining mixed media techniques with cross stitch… cross was stitched on 22 count, then I cut a hole in base fabric, framing the stitched piece. I left ragged edges on purpose, and did a modified buttonhole stitch around the frame hole. Fabric stamped with gold & black ink. Back is solid fabric, matching the front piece– all is stitched around a 2.5″ x 3.5″ matboard insert to make a fabric ATC. Unfortunately, the scan doesn’t show the “shinyness” of the base fabric, or the gold ink!
