Merry Christmas!

Tonight I’ll finish baking our Christmas cookies. Nothing fancy, just sugar cookies from a mix… still, a step up from the slice-n-bakes I did last year.

My daughter’s gifts from us are wrapped, although I won’t put them under the tree until tomorrow. Whenever I put them out before Christmas Eve, she can’t stand the suspense and gives me the puppy-dog eyes until I let her open one. Which leads to two. You know.

Have a Merry Christmas!

  1. Merry Christmas to you and your’s! When we were growing up our “guardian angel” use to leave a book on our pillow on Christmas Eve while we were eating dinner. It was a nice holiday tradition and reading took your mind off the gifts that were still to come (somewhat LOL). I carried on the tradition with my son as he was growing up. Also my parents use to let my brothers and I exchange gifts we got each other on Christmas Eve. Hope your holiday is special.

  2. Merry Christmas, Monique!!! Ben and I bake a small batch of slice and bake cookies every Christmas Eve night before bed so he can leave warm cookies for Santa. I found a tub of cookie dough at Trader Joes this year so that should be good. Enjoy yours!

    Happy 2008!

  3. Heheh, my daughter is the opposite. I’m the one usually saying “would you like to open just one little one now? Lets just open a small one each? Just one?” and she’s the one saying “nonono, lets just wait until tomorrow mummy”………LOL. She’s 6. Hahah. I’m terrible, lol

  4. Wishing you joyous days from now till the New Year, which I hope will be full of all the best things for you and yours!!!

  5. Monique, I have spent my whole night following your “Salt,” and “Theme Thursdays,” etc…I’m signing up for some of them, too. So much fun. And, I love to crazy quilt, so I want to do some of that in 2008. Thanks for taking me along that path! Love your magazine pic of your design! Hope you continue to have lots of creative energies this coming year, dear friend. Hugs, Deb
